WHELAN, Ralph - Putnam

Richard Whelan, city mail carrier was notified last night that his brother, Ralph Whelan, died suddenly Friday night in Indianapolis. Particulars of his death were not learned but it is supposed he succumbed of a heart attack. His death was entirely unexpected as he apparently was in good health Thanksgiving day when the family spent the day with his mother, Mrs. AW Whelan. Besides the mother and brother, he leaves a widow and three children. The Whelan family formerly lived here where they are well known. The funeral and burial probably in Indianapolis. – transcribed by kbz
